Weight saving. Also the flexing irritates me

    How much do you weigh?

Curious if it flexes more the heavier. I am 76-78kg & don't find too much flexing. Just right. Soaks up the rock terrain.

The Fizik Cyrano alloy seat post is 20g lighter than the carbon one? I assume the carbon one is stiffer?

probably not. i have the carbon cyrano, it feels, and is visibly flexible - i'd say it's only marginally stiffer than the save post.

I have read often that the Carbon are not lighter often and merely benefit with cushioning or flexing, whilst Alloy are stiffer. I also found it to be the case in practice moving from Alloy to SAVE on mine.

Secondly, it takes up the small high frequency vibrations more associated with alloy...so less of the road feel that fast bikers sometimes prefer. My SAVE was for plushness purely. My derriere remains placidly happy as a result ;)

The SAVE post has to be lighter than the stock post on my 2013 F29 2 no?

If so, I am interested in shaving weight and gaining some compliance from my post. I'm in RI if anyone is local. Message me. Thanks.

Another good post with built in flex is the Syntace Hiflex. They cost $175 and weigh around 200g. If you guys can't find a SAVE soon enough.

not anymore, worked there for 3 years and was were i got in love for xc and cannondale´s.
around the São miguel island by bike is a nightmare ;9. it´s doable but not easy...very irregular terrain uphill downhill..no straight roads...tho there´s loads of fantastic xc and allmountain tracks with suberb landscapes. By car, around São Miguel, the biggest of the nine island, is around 2h
