    Modifying Prophet Geometry?

I have a 8.5 x 2.5 DHX Air lying around my house right now and I was wondering what it would do to the prophet's geometry if I rigged it up in the FR position or the XC position. Im not sure if I could get it to fit in the XC position but I know I can get it to work in the FR position.

I think it might be fun to try, is there any adverse affects that would happen by installing this much bigger of a shock?

our tire will hit the seat tube long before you bottom out, and the geometry will be like that of a rigid 35" tire bike. it would probably snap the frame if you took it out on some trails.

8.5 won't fit without the swingarm hitting the seat tube.
Matter of fact it'll touch the seat tube before being fully expanded.
This will happen in the FR mode as well.
And when being compressed the tire will hit the seat tube too.

This would also void the frame warranty.

I didnt think of the tire hitting the seat tube, oh well it wouldnt have been anything I did for a long time I would have just done it to play with.
