Lynskey pro29 Lefty Helix tech - Lefty related thread

    here is my new frame

it's new for me, barely used , got on ebay some weeks ago, landed at home from USA today.

happy to have it in my hands , sad to leave for 4 weeks of holidays without it finished as complete bike .
sad to cannot test it in Tuscany ...

    however it's a M size, 29er frame

it's BB30 and Lefty standard ready.

it has sliding dropouts for singlespeed mount too.

    i guess it's aroung 1900 g , not yet weighted.

will be compeleted in 5 weeks , not in time for my 24h solo race grrrrrrr

close as my Flash 29er built , so i can appreciate the differences of frames

Dude, I've been saving up my pennies for a Pro29er Lefty frame with the hand buffed finish.
I am glad to see more people recognize how great those folks in Tennesee can put together a super frame. Are you going to strip the Flash or buy components to complete a second bike?

    Flash 29er is a great bike .
do not want to sell it, for now .

for this build , i have all parts . another colour scheme compared to Flash .

but not a second bike as spare , mine are all 1st bikes as a harem

thinking to do 400 km + 400 km round robin trip to bring all the parts and returning here at sea house to finish built , cannot wait 4 weeks ... how can i ask it to my wife ???

Can't wait to see the build. I see a number of the Lynskey bikes here in Ohio and everyone seems to just love the stiffness they provide. Good Luck, am sure you'll build an awesome racer. As for asking your wife, let me know when you get that one figured out

    Eli, you are the man.
I've been aching for that frame since it came out, but for now I'll keep my caffeine 29er 1, maybe convert it to single speed for the winter.

I saw somebody rocking one of these in singlespeed mode at the Terror of Teaberry race this weekend - definitely a sweet ride. That was the first ti bike with a Lefty I've seen in the flesh besides my own.

    how freakin sick is this:

In terms of user interface it's as simple as could be when set in 'race' mode: simply tap one button for an upshift and the other one for a downshift. According to Fairwheel's Jason Woznick, the custom brain calculates the gear inches and then shifts the front and/or rear derailleurs as needed to achieve the next logical ratio.

look my coloured titanium bolts . same Lefty caliper zone in many bikes.

different colour scheme requires different colours .

How do you like the bike?

Ik thinking of buying one of these:

    Lynskey Pro29 Ti
    C'dale Flash 29
    Event carbon

You've ridden them all, wich one would you pick?
