If it is for removing the OPI stems it seems to be overkill for the tool I currently have.

I am even more confused since you don't need anything like that to mount one. Thread the steer tube into it and tighten it. Not trying to troll your thread, I really don't understand the need for this tool.

no tool is necessary if you have some tricks to play.

with the 2011 and onward stems, you need to hammer 3-4 hits to permits to the lower tube to screw in the beginning threads of the stem ... ( and the first threads are very stressed in this situation)

with this tool no hits are necessary.

no problem if 100 guys think it's not useful.
i will be happy if one single fella can buy this tool after visiting these posts, considering it useful.

and no returns for my wallet, i am not related with that shop or his boss.
only related to him 'cause i'm italian too, and i like to share what can be helpful in the Lefty world...

i have a carbon combo, so no steerer tube , no stem , no tool for me ....

I had mine apart already when I went from the PBR fork that came with the bike to an XLR I currently have on my Flash. I don't recall having to hammer the stem back in to start the threads on the steer tube. It may very well be useful to some out there. I guess I would need to see it in action to get it's usefulness. I just thought when I first saw it that it was for removal of the stem which I do admit is a pain, but I have the tool from Cannondale Experts for that part. I was only trying to wrap my head around it's use, please take no offense to my post. Was not my intent to upset you at all..
