    Lefty Helicoil replacement

    Hello Cdale riders,

I have been searching endlessly for any info regarding Helicoil replacement for my Lefty Max 130mm. Lots of forums and chat rooms state M10-1 helicoil for replacement. This size doesn't even come close to fitting in my lower. Has anyone ever replaced one of these that might have some insight? Some forums say that you don't need to pre-drill, and the helicoil just turns right in. My lower opening seems to have a lot smaller diameter than the M10-1 size diameter, and im hesitant to drill out any part of the Lefty. Any help would be much appreciated.

    thks

    Have you 'coiled before?

You need the tool for installation. Impossible without it.

    10x1 is the correct size.

I've installed plenty over the years, you'll just have to believe me in that one....

Can I send my lefty to you for helicoil installation? I have plenty of m10-1 coils and I will pay all freight. I can use paypal for all labor $ transactions.

    Thanks

    Mike

I don't solicit work on the forums, against the rules actually.

That said, you might well have luck at a bike shop or motorcycle/auto shop, as Eliflap eluded to.

No dice though? PM me, I'll do what I can....

Oh no! I wasn't saying that to you, but to the OP, since they asked if they could ship it in....

All good here, with you and I!
