Lefty DLR & Carbon SL cartridge compatible?

My Carbon SL cartridge went to heaven on sunday, no more damping.

Next sunday I need the bike for an important race, but my LBS has no other SL there. As a solution he offered me to change the cartridge out of an normal Lefty DLR into my SL.

Does anybody know if the cartridge from the DLR will fit in the Lefty SL?

    TIA

Nope, different in all respects. If your LBS has a cartridge, and the ability to install one, any reason they don't just pull apart yours, and replace the seal that is the cause of the problem? Just tossing that out there, kinda like throwing out a car cause it's time for an oil changes in my opinion

Yes, you're right, as we saw today, they're different.

But when disassembling my SL there was a terrible sound while loosening the cartridge. We found some weird small plastic shreds in the tube, the mech and me had no idea what this could be.

As we could see easily, the lower oil cap (picture) was turned out, so the damper oil has gone away. My lockout lever was very tight all the time, I think the movement of the lockout has loosened the lower oil cap.

We refilled the damper, purged air and mounted the cartridge and everything was OK! But still no idea, where the plastic shred has come frome. Anyway, after my race the Lefty will go to 88 for a full inspection.

Can you please give a full report on 88+ when you're done? I'm really interested to get some feedback on them, I've asked around and nobody has a clue about them apart from the obvious.
    Good luck with them

The plastic shard is most likely from the end cap, and should not be a big deal, as long as it is tightened up, and holding well. The caps do loosen from time to time, just make sure it's snug, and do a once a year service, as it will catch it before it gets too far again.
