    Lefty bolt question

    i have a 2000 lefty DLR, and a 2000 4 bolt "Lefty" hub. i just got a 2006 6 bolt lefty hub. the bolt seams likes its a different size and thread. and longer. anybody? mendon? where are you!!! haha

    Same as it ever was

    The Lefty "standard" hasn't changed as far as I know. I actually run Woodman hubs, which don't list "only fit certain Lefty's" - they used to sell their bolts as an upgrade for CDale, but I don't see them listed now.

    thats what i thought too, but the newer hub feels like its gonan strip the threads.

    You know, you could get a pin spanner and take off the left hand threaded cap that retains the bolt - so you could look at it closely and try threading it in by hand directly on the axle. That would at least let you see what's going on - or did you already do that?
