    Which Lefty is better??

Hi, I may be building up a Rush. I have the option of the Carbon Lefty that came on a 2002 Scalpel 3000 that is in good shape, just rebuilt, ELO works. Or a brand new Lefty Speed Bonded DLR2, 110 mm that came on a Rush 1000. Which one is better, what are the pros and cons?-Thanks

    Take the DLR

I wouldn't want a 5 years old Carbon fork , Carbon has a limited life span and the ELO is very fragile compare to the DLR , both has the same travel and lock up option , but the ELO switch is fimsly at best , also it is long out of production , good luck trying to get it fix if you crash . The brand new DLR seems to me a better deal , best of luck whatever you decided.

The travel is another issue. The one from the scalpel will be 100mm, and the new one will be 110mm- which is what the rush was designed for and will keep the geometry and ride characteristics what they should be. I'd go for the DLR2.
