    Just bought a 2010 Flash 1!

My local LBS had a Brand New 2010 F1 with carbon lefty sitting amongst all the other mountain bikes hidden away that I kept seeing each time I visited them.

Well low and behold we made a deal for 1700.00 for the bike and I took her out for the first time today for a 15 mile trip.

I love this bike. The lefty is just amazing and the bike is super light.

Thanks. Yeah shes a looker!! I just love riding this bike. It's so light and unlike anything I have ever ridden. I've had multiple stumpjumper fsr's and regular stumpjumpers and this bike with the lefty feels so good I can ride it all day everyday.

dude, if you're not gonna change the pedals at least remove the reflectors from the wheels....
your 29er may float over roots and rocks, but my superlight 26 just plain floats

I took the reflectors off lol.

I am actually considering picking up the 2012 Flash 1 29er and selling the carbon lefty off of the 2010 F1 and making that bike into a rigid for road and winter.

    What do you guys think?

I would keep it as is but if you decide on making it rigid let me know, I am interested in the carbon lefty if the price is right.

haha, good to hear. my advice would be to make the 29er a rigid fun bike because 26" is a real xc race rig, and a flash is top shelf!

The lefty has 40 miles on it and is in like new condition, not a mark or blemish anywhere.

I would be willing to let it go for $950. I know cannondale sells them new (or something close to it) for $1300 and I see them go on ebay for over 1000 in this condition.

If your interested let me know.

@Lamard : I know. I love this rig but I just feel the 29er may do me better on all the long bumpy trails that I run.

Maybe I'm nuts. I still love this bike. I'm torn.

Sweet rig. The 2012 Flash 1 is on my short list of 29ers. I almost bought a 2011 but unexpected expenses came to ***k it all up.

    -Cheers.

I'm torn. I think I may just upgrade the drive train and brakes to X0 or XT.

what do you guys suggest may be a good upgrade for full drive train.

Yeah I was looking at the xt stuff. Seems like everyone is pushing x0 and sram.

I can get a deal from my local lbs on a 2012 flash 1 29er for close to the same price as a xt gear set installed. Lol.
