How to Stem replacement on my Rize?

I am replacing my stock si stem with a si stem with a little more rise to it.
Is it hard to do the replacement myself or should I take my bike in to have it done by the "pros"
I assume I have to remove the handle bars which is easy but I am not sure how to remove the stem, I noticed that it is held in my two bolts but when I loosen them, the stem does become loose, but I can't pull the stem out.

    Any suggestions?

A rubber faced hammer, that's all I've used and it is fine! Just give it a little whack, it will come out easy
