    Homemade Chainstay Protector

I just wanted to share how I made a great chainstay protector. I bought a used Scalpel and the previous owner had an old tube on the chainstay. I wanted something clear so that you can still see the paintjob. From the hardware store, I got a roll of soft, clear plastic tube. At the right diameter and not too thick. Cut to length, cut down the middle and zip tie it on. It should even quiet down the chain slap.
