    Help Me Understand The Lefty

    Howdy,
My problem is that I'm not sure what the red 16mm hex bolt adjustment at the bottom of the leg actually does. The manual doesn't call it a compression dampening adjustment but talks about preventing bottoming out of the shock. Can someone explain it in 'layman' terms what will happen by screwing it in and out? If its compression dampening I have a magazine article that explains it but if it's something else I'd like to know what it does?

    Many Thanks

It makes the travel less linear, more progressive. I'm assuming we are talking about a Lefty Max 140 SPV right? Basically, start full open and set your sag, go ride, if the sag and feel of the Lefty is good but you find out you bottom it out, screw that bolt in a bit and it will make your travel ramp up, become harder to compress as you move into the travel. Is that understandable?
