    Problems Solvers ?

Have you tried chatting with a sales person @ Jenson ? They list some Problem Solver HeadShok head tube reducers, maybe those will work ? Perhaps a reducing headset, have you talked to the people @ your local bicycle shop.?

just use a standard 1.5 to 1.125 converter headset, an FSA Z1R for example, cane creek has a similar headset.

Cannondale part # KP058 is their Cane Creek reducer set.

    A standard 1.5 - 1.125 reducer may not fit a Cannondale frame.

I can't comment on the OPs frame but I just installed a standard 1.5 reducer headset into my 2009 caffeine 29er. I emailed Cannondale and got a response within a week or so that it used a regular 1.5 reducer headset.

I used a Cane Creek 40 Series ZS49 top and a 40 Series EC49 Conversion bottom. Cost about 80 bucks for both. Seems like a good headset, sealed bearings and good sealing on the crown race and top cap.
