    Hanging up an old friend

I know it is silly to get attached to an inanimate object but it can happen to any of us
its time for me to hang up my 13 year old friend
I remember wearing out my cannondale catalog just dreaming of the day I could get a super V
I finally got it when I was working for a company repairing roads
I did not even have a car at the time but it did not matter
I saved up and got a bomber fork for her
everyone thought I was crazy for wanting 100mm of travel
I bought that bike with one purpose
there was a place I saw when crossing the country that grabbed my soul
It took 13 years to get there but I took her for one last ride

Give it a nice position on the garage wall. Or put a 1x9 setup on it, some skinny slicks and use it as coffee, chilling, cruising bike.

Or just keep using it as a mountain bike. Why you hanging her up?

Shove a shorter fork on it and use it as an xc trail bike,
its too good to hang up

Ive currently just stripped my old 500 (14 yr old) to respray it for several more years of fun,

    KK..

    That's a bike I wish Cannondale would make. They couldashouldawoulda'd, I did.

It need some help, the front derailleur is not possible to mount, but I got a sudden burst of creative energy, and realized it's a perfect application for a Hammerschmidt. I just need to work on some tabs......

    And yes, it rides great!

Yeah, a medium would be a lot small on someone your size!

Offload that SA, it's gotta be worth close to what you paid for it.

I still get a few emails a month, asking if I have any left.....
