Did my first bearing reset of the year. While letting the air out of the lefty I was greeted with a small spray of green grease. I remembered the same occurrence the first time I reset the bearings. I've mitigated it since by flipping the bike for a few minutes before letting the air out. I forgot to do so last time. I'm slightly concerned that I shouldn't be removing grease from the system. I'd estimate maybe a few cc's squirt out when depressing the shraeder valve. I'll certainly try to remember to invert the bike before doing so in the future.
Frankly, I'm surprised the instructions for bearing reset never mention inverting the lefty to let the lube migrate away from the valve before releasing the air.
Should I be concerned that I've removed some precious lube from my 2008 lefty dlr2?
