    Gemini - 2003 1000 or 2004 900

    I'm thinking on buying a Gemini. I have a choice between a 2003 1000 or a 2004 900, both are about the same price.

I'm going to use the bike for recreational XC, downhill and freeride. I'm hoping it climbs better than my 40lbs Urban Freeride 9 speed hardtail.

Opinions? Are the frames the same or did C'dale change them this year?

The 1000 has the Lefty MAX TPC+ front end, and an air shock. (Flaot RL) I took mine and mounted a 5th coil on the rear end. With Hayes brakes, and xc tires, it is a 33 lb monster.

The 04 900 has the Sherman up front, and is burlier with longer travel.

It depends on what your intended use is going to be.

    Here is a photo.

    Happy birthday, BTW.

It was taken under a bridge, with a cement angled wall leading up to the bottom of the bridge. The angled cement is only like 12-14 ft long, and angled. My buddy Britt took the photo laying down on the flat, looking up tward the bridge. Here is an example.
