    Fox Float

Got a 2006 Rush 600 with a Fox Float rear shock--decided to dial it up a little yesterday as I am gaining some weight. Pushed it up to 155 and noticed a little oil coming out of the stem. Is that normal?

I suppose you mean the valve stem... if it is just a little bit, it should be fine, specially if the valve is positioned on the "lower" side, since gravity will take the lube in the chamber towards the valve...

This happens on my Float R and Lefty. From the Float R it was a light oil and from the Lefty ('06 Speed DLR 110) it was a heavier oil and more of it.

I try to avoid removing pressure from them because losing oil on every air release can't be good. Plus, it needs to be done for the needle bearing reset on the Lefty...

Would reversing the mount of the rear shock help with this?
My bicycle gets more dirt than your 4x4.

It could help if the valve is on the "higher" side of the shock... but anyhow you should put some oil in when you do the air sleeve service (every 6 months or so)
