    Smile Fork upgrade 1999 F500 Caad2 p-bone m

I find the reading on MBR forum quite enjoyable
and the members here seem to have a wealth of knowledge.

    I have a 1999 F500 with the p-bone M fork.
I would really like to upgrade it,
but because of the headshok design
I'm not sure what my options are.

Just wondering if anyone has some advice on this.
    and any recommendations.

Should I stick with Cannondale parts
or is there a way to fit on a different brand fork?

    Thanks Keith

I actually am in the same exact situation. I have a 2000 Cannondale F500, and i am also soon considering upgrading the fork/front shock. The only option i have come across as of yet is the Ultra Fatty DL80, which as of yet, i dont know anything about.

Anyone else have any past experience with these bikes?

97,99 and 2000 forks are still older forks. the newer cdale and sometimes better fox forks are much better. the older forks are nice if you want to keep that older look. but if your going for performance. newer is going to be better and fox is on top right now.

    .... my 2 cents.

Yea, well obviously we are all looking to upgrade here, but are unsure of our options. What are some of the specific best performing shocks for our older Headshok bikes? I just cant find many options, if any.

I built a late 90's F400. I have 2008 Fox Vanilla RLC on it. I went with this headset:

    http://www.qbike.com/product/w/Woodm...-Headset.shtml

    Works fine for me!

Do a search for my name, and you can see a couple of my threads during the build process. Unfortunately my host is down so my images do not appear.

If you want pics, send me a PM
