    Flash rear tire

I have an aluminum flash that needs a more aggressive tire. I currently have a 2.2 Stan's Raven on the back that comes dangerously close to the front derailleur mount. These are the only 29er tires I've ever run so I don't know how they compare with the rest of the field.

I'm looking for something that is better suited for mud and roots to run in the fall/winter here in the northwest.

Has anyone else gone through the tires and could recommend something that will fit? I like running the volume to soften up the hardtail but traction is a must this time of year.

I've been running a WTB Bronson. Seems alright in the mud, but I haven't ran that many tires to compare.
