    F400 vs. F4 bike weight??

I was looking at the archives in Mountainbike magazine and they have the 2006 F400 listed at 25.9 lbs. On the Cannondale website they have the F4 listed at 28.08 lbs. Aren't these essentially the same bike? That's over a 2lb difference for the same size frame (both medium) and the only real change I can see is that the F400 uses v-brakes while the F4 has disk. But how much heavier can disks be? Has anyone out there actually weighed their Cannondale?

that could be, discs can weight a little more. theres the caliper. some are made of good heavy duty metal. and the rotors. v brakes are little alu arms with pads.... but 2lbs for disc is worth it.

The F4 also has different tires, but I don't know how much of a difference this would be.

Tires can be a big difference..Just depends on which tires really. 200 grams here, 200 there presto, one pound....
