    Eccentric BB - stuck wedges

    Hi guys & gals

I've got a Chase frame with the eccentric bottom bracket, but the wedges are stuck. There is no washer and clip after the bolt. I have tried to unscrew it a few turns and then knock it, but the wedge doesn't move. Any tricks?

    Cheers!
    Lars

    Back 2 turns, knock harder.

And add some grease to the wedges-surface before resemble.

Otherwise, heating will solve your problem a good "warm air-gun" will help you.

There was probably a washer and clip and it popped off after loosening the bolt. I have had that happen to all my Cannondale SS's at some point. To get the EBB free you really have to whack the non-drive side with a hammer. I replaced my EBB's with Bushnells.

I used to have to really whack on the bolt to loosen the EBB on my old 1FG. My 4mm hex driver is still bent from those times.
