    regarding it's weight

1550grams? that's not particularly light for today's standards in aluminium frames right?

i understand good light frames are usually 1.5kg and below right?

Being aluminum, 3.4 pounds is still excellent weight for a hardtail frame. Nobody does aluminum better than Cannondale...

A lot of the frames that are under 1500g are the carbon ones, there are definitely a few aluminum hardtails under that, but not many. I believe that the old Optimo frames are under that weight.

not much point to further reduce the weight of 3.5 lb alum frame as durability will be compromised. I would rather look at other areas to save weight. Frame is only about 15% of the total weight of a hardtail
