Does 2013 lefty require the "bearing reset"?

Does the 2013 left have the whole "bearing reset" issue?

Does the new engineering behave better?

Can anyone comment from first hand experience?

The new fork resets when it bottoms. I probably have 600 miles on mine and so far it is as close to perfect as I ever need to be.

I'm pretty certain you won't regret it. I also upgraded from a 2009 bike, and wow.... all good. Happy trails.

By "whole bearing reset issue", do you mean the single tool, 3 minute bearing reset procedure that is done every 120 miles or so? LOL!

I spend way more time/effort cleaning/lubing my chain than I do resetting the bearings on my Lefty PBR. I'm sure the '13 is a killer fork, but the outgoing Lefty reset procedure is prolly the simplest/quickest maintenance procedure I do on my bike.

It's certainly not big enough of a deal to "upgrade" from an older generation Lefty to the Hybrid.
However, if you're looking for advantages to buying a Lefty for the first time, consider this one more!
