    dlr2 air chamber spacer for 29

    in my lefty 29 dlr2 what air chamber spacer do i use?the long one or the short one?Thanks

    sorry i ment the piston spacer, do i use the 131mm one or the 170mm one one the dlr2 29er

    The longer one, since the fork stops sooner, it maintains proper piston position relative to bottom out, and keep progressivity on par with it's 26" cousin.

    thanks,Thats the one i have in it.It just seems that i have alot of neg. travel with the black spring in there.Is this normal?

    If the negative spring is too firm for your taste they're pretty cheap to replace. It's a matter of how much pressure you run, how much it affects travel. There's no right or wrong, just "hmm, that seems a bit excessive, think I'll drop down a rate" . Cheers!

    the longer spacer was spec'd to achieve a more progressive feel, yes, but its not essential. i run the shorter one b/c i like the feel better for general xc. i only weigh 165 fully geared up, though. i run 105 in my air chamber. try them both out. maybe you'll like less spacing and a couple extra psi. i would say if you're >200 go straight to the long spacer.

    as your lefty bearings break in, feel may change as well.
