New question here. Difference between Gemini & Gemini DH ?

I'm buying a Gemini 2004,but maybe it's a 03. Has regular dropouts. What's the biggest fork it can take ?

How does it differ from the Gemini DH besides the 12mm through axle swingarm ?

i had a gemini 1000 and after a dh. The ride is different, the dh is longer than the regular in size m and i think too big for the size. The gemini 1000 have a good manoeuvrability and low weght. It depends to the use you want to make. At this time i have a judge, best bike i ever ride. My med is smaller than the regular gemini.

To help ID the frame, I believe the 03 have the 5" travel setting too, where-as later model only have the 6 or 7.
Don't the DH's also have the linkage for floating rear brakes.

The DH also only has one shock setting,
it is permanently set a 180 mm, with the hole at the top of the swingarm,
it achieves it through a longer rear shock.

some of the lower end geminis did have the option to run 5 inches of travel, so that will not determine if it is 03 or 04.

ay chances of pics we will bne able to tell then

I beleive 04 still had the three travel settings and 05 is when it changed to two (150mm & 170mm). Also in 05 all models had the thru 12 rear axle and in 04 it was the high end models (2000 and DH).

Depends model and year. Newer models had more gusseting under the headtube.

I agree. The Gemini is one of the few bikes you can take XC on Friday, Freeride on Saturday and DH on Sunday. Not the best for XC or DH but good enough to have a blast.

The chart is not correct my 04 came with the Sherman breakout 150 170 and it was longer then the chart recomened for the frame and this came built from Cannondale.
