So what do I do? Get a whole new fork? That seems really silly. It went on, surely it can come off.

You don't need a new fork, a new upper at around $200 (plus the rebuild) is way cheaper than any sort of medical bills incurred by the end result of some sketchy garage style fix.

No, there is no way to remove and reinstall the clamps, sorry.
This is a Pugs not some carbon wannabee pretzel wagon!!

OK. That's a little more reasonable. Thanks. BRose at shockspital in MPLS should be able to do it.

If you knew this, why bother asking?

I'm guessing shockspital is a Cannondale dealer...but their website gives no info at all.
MendonCS, can anybody buy an upper or is it just warrantee replacements?
Also, is that price for an Alloy?

Nope, they are available for purchase through a dealer, if they ask nicely.

    Alloy is $200

    Carbon is $600 (ouch)

I cracked an upper to an Aluminum lefty, and had Cannondale replace it. $250 later (plus shipping) I had a like new lefty.

It was my own mistake, over-torqued the bolt. I would recommend buying a torque wrench.

It's back. If anyone in the Twincities needs work done on their Lefty fork Dave Vance at Shockspital is the guy. This was originally an alloy fork. It's carbon now.
