    CODA Tarantula TX2

    Hi ,
    I have a CODA Tarantula TX2, 29/44 splined BB.(year 2000 I think)
Can i use an octalink BB?
I try to put it on the BB, but the octalink"dents" are bigger then the cuts in the crank?

You are probably trying to use the V2 (version 2) Octalink BB. The V2's include XT, LX and Deore. The Tarantula cranks use the V1 (version 1) Octalink BB spline pattern which is found on the XTR, Dura Ace and Ultegra. Due to the narrower chain line allowed by the 2x9 (vs 3x9), Cannondale usually spec'd this crank with the Ultegra BB 68x109.5. Most people shied away from the Dura Ace version because of the lockring adjustment feature, but it was rebuildable.
