Coda disk brake swap...Need infos.
Hi there.
I saw in the classified a 99 F2000 for sale. Its got stock Coda disk brake. If i buy the bike, i would like to swap Coda's for a pair of Avib BB7 and wheels with 160mm disk.
Do the Avids BB7 bolt direct on the F2000 brackets ?
Best Regards

Yes, though due to a drive side oriented bias, you will need to either use rotor spacers between the hub and rotor, or longer caliper bolts and a few extra spacers. IIRC, the difference is 4 or 5mm. Other than that, good to go.

I needed spacers for the rear brake when installing a rear BB5 on my 99 F1000 but the front one mounted just fine without on the Fatty... all with the Avid provided bolts.
