cannondale v2000 head shock pressure question

I have come across a used V2000/head shock - XT group that has had the rear ALPS Fox shock replaced with a SID Rock Shox XC.

It didn't come with a manual. Does anyone know what the head shock air pressure should be? Also, the SID has a + and - pressure valve. Any thoughts on what those pressures should be too?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I am about 190 lbs. Thks

I've always adjusted air pressure/preload by measuring the actual sag when sitting on the bike in a normal riding position. The sag I start with is 1/4 of the full travel of the headshok/shock. So on my DD50 (~50mm travel) Headshok I will set the preload so that it compresses ~12.5mm (~ 0.5") when I'm sitting on the bike. From there you can go up or down depending on your preference/riding style or terrain.

    Good Luck.

I don't have the same head shock but on my 2010 F3 with a Super Fatty (w/ DLR - 80 mm) the recommended pressure is 80-110 psi.
