    Cannondale Seatpost Size Help

I need some help. I'm try to buy a new seatpost for my wife's bike which is a 2008 Cannondale F6 Feminine. Everywhere I look online is telling me that the size is 27.2mm. I took the current seatpost out that came with the bike and it has stamped on it 31.6E.

I feel like I have to ignore the 10 websites or so I've found that claim they know the size and go with what her current seatpost has stamped into it but I'm not sure. For example http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...nine&Type=bike (seems like this should know what's up)

Anyone have any knowledge about this? Does anyone know what the "E" is? I was assuming that meant horizontal so that it meant 31.6mm horizontal?

Thanks for any assitance you can provider.

Trust the current post of the bike, bikepedia.com has a lot of errors...

Traditionally, Cannondale were always 27.2mm but a few years back, they started to vary according to the bikes wanted characteristics... I think the CO2 frames were indeed 31.6.
