    cannondale handlebar stem

hey. the handlebars on my cannondale has a cap on top. no set screws or anything that i can remove to take the handlebar stem off and replace with a taller one. any suggestions. also. the size ( diameter of the stem on the bike now seems huge. i see most are an inch and 1/8th. but this looks bigger. it has the mono shock on it so i'm assuming that the stem isn't just screwed in as usual. its a threadless stem. the bike is a delta v 600. if that helps. thanks for any help i can get....

All you gotta do is loosen the hex bolt in the back to remove the stem.
