Who has ridden one and what are your thoughts? I really like the numbers on this bike and curious what others think. Thanks

I put more miles on my first cannondale than my first three cars combined. Still have that road bike, bought new in 1992. Rides harder than a rock and probably doesn't handle corners nearly as well as the bikes with the SAVE rear end, but it feels more like a purpose built track car than a street car with wider tires and Eibach's, and rolls for days with little effort. Wouldn't trade it for anything new. It's a different experience and will always be in my stable.

I've got four years on my F5, which has been a wonderful experience. She has taken a beating and given no complaints. A fast, controllable XC bike that doesn't cost an arm and three legs. I'm told Cannondale has much better XC bikes... holy crap is what I must say to that. Will have to try one if I can ever afford.

Weird. I thought this was gonna replace the Trigger 29. With the Trigger 27.5 still around they seem to step on each other's toes and C-dale could use a more "trail" version of the Scalpel. I'm a big 27.5 fan (and will probably never own a 29) but I think they screwed up the wheel size on this bike. I guess if you want a 27.5 XC bike this would be a good option which is kinda popular where I live but I assumed in most places XC guys want 29s.

Being slow to adopt it doesn't mean they swore anything against it.
Hell, look at the bikes they have this year. Slate (650bx42), Habit and Bad Habit (probably the reason they chose this name, dietz31864), Trigger is dropping 29" wheels, and probably more (Beast of the East if you include 27.5+).

I ordered my Habit Carbon 1 this afternoon, I'm also in the UK and was told 12th October, either way, I'm happy enough as in fully intending this being the bike I mainly ride in 2016. It's my first Cannondale, always fancied giving the brand a try, so I can't wait! [emoji4]

I had the chance to demo the Habit Carbon 1 for about 3 hrs this past weekend. It was an amazing ride. I am currently on a Scalpel 3 29er and the Habit out performed it. It climbs and accelerates incredibly well. On the decents, it rips. I am now going to sell my Scalpel and upgrade to the Habit! I absolutely loved the bike!
