    Cannondale Flash 26" to 650b?

    Dear All,

I have a Flash Carbon from 2009 and I am considering putting on a set of 650b/27,5" wheels in order to see how that works out. Do anyone have any actual experience with this, both in terms of fit, geometry and actual handling? Any advise or experience would be highly appreciated.

Hey, yes. I have a 2012 Flash 26 and I put 650b on it. It fits. But to be honest, it does not really change anything. I rather ride my 26 inch Crossmax with fat tires on them. (Ikon) I would not spend the money again if I had the choice.

I use 27.5 wheels on my 2012 scalpel and there was a noticeable difference, the bike felt more secure and there was added traction. Converting a bike is a tad backwards, if I hadn't already owned the Scalpel I would just have bought a 'proper' 27.5 bike.

PS- Have you confirmed that the 09 Flash can take 27.5 wheels? Some models/years can't.
