    Cannondale F800, Need Parts Advice

I've had this bike for about 2 weeks. I haven't gone through it yet (greasing/cleaning/adjusting), but I don't have all of the tools I need yet either.

Issue 1. Something slips/creaks/pops at certain pedal positions whilst standing on the pedals. (I'd like to replace the BB5500 bottom bracket, but don't know what part number to look for when looking at replacement BB's).

Issue 2. The Kore Elite stem is an aftermarket piece. The stem itself is fine, I just need to know if there is an adapter to raise the stem and not mess up the manual lockout knob. Does something like this even exist?

Any help on either of these two issues will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I picked this up at a pawn shop here in Austin for less than $300.00. Did I get a good deal?

Forgot to mention this is a 2000 model F800 with fatty headshok (not lefty). It is blue in color with LX/XT front and rear derailleurs. Avid SD 1.9L levers and V-brakes. Deore LX Shifters. etc.,etc.

Issue 1, is probably justa grease issue. The BB could be dry and in need of a re-grease. Or its jacked.

    slips/creaks/pops are veryy different descriptions....

#2 no raise adapter, unless you find another stem with a higher angle. all headshoxs are the same size steer-tube. so any cdale stem will work.

you dont want the stem up to high, it will effect the control. its a mountain bike... not a hybrid.

Well it does all three at the BB... slips like the arm is loose, creaks during heavy acceleration, pops at certain pedal positions under weight. :/
