I just looked at the 2013 Cannondale dealer book. No more Flash, just F29 & F26.

Is Cannondale's complete 2013 catalog online somewhere? I'd like to see all of their cross bikes.

So after looking at the specs for the 2013 F29 3 I'm kind of disappointed on how much it was downgraded. New lefty and wheels are the only upgrades. Brakes, Crank, Hubs, & Shifters all get a downgrade in specs from the 2012 Flash 3

I'll take better wheels and fork over better brakes, crank, and hubs any day.

Definitely. I bought my Flash, took everything off it and sold it "as new", then bought all the hand-picked bits I wanted for it. It was quite a hassle but definitely worth it in the end.

Would anyone know what the color code is for the Red-White-Blue Flash 29er shown in some of the previous posts? Love that color scheme!

However, theretail price list posted here only shows the Flash Carbon 1 in Red, which sure would be a nice bike but maybe a bit to pricy for me...

Looks like blue might be the new green as far CFR team is concerned.
Unless this is only for the Olympics?
    Picture of Marco's Flash below.
Notice that he's now riding a single front speed? (XX1?) (Pictures from Italian championship which he won this weekend, also tend to confirm this)

That's for the Olympics... Marco has ridden on a 1x10 setup now and then since a year or two ago, depending on the course... but I think we'll see a lot more single rings in London, especially with the XX1 group that makes it a viable option on most courses. Nino Schurter won the Swiss Championships on XX1, I'm guessing Absalon will adopt it too...

I called my LBS today. They called Cannondale to inquire about F29C 3 dates. The response I got:

    Black/white/green - August 14th availability
Other colors - September 17th availability

I am thinking they were confused on the colors. Correct me if I am wrong, but each trim model is only offered in 1 color scheme, correct? I imagine the "other colors" they referred to are the 1, 2, etc models.

Which is why I built up my latest SC Tallboy 29er from scratch... Just a C'dale Lefty at this point... but I'd take cranks too!

Anyone know where the Cannondale Demo Truck is currently?

Anyone know if 2013 Lefty demos are at any MTB parks in New England?

One of the main improvements in the whole line of XC bikes none of you have picked up on is huge for most of us.

They changed from 26/39 to 24/38 so now you can actually change your gearing as you want rather than dealing with trying to find the impossible to find spider. So now if you want to run 24/36 or 22/36 etc all you have to do is change the 38 for a 36 or 24 to 22 etc. This is awesome for anyone that doesnt ride in a flat area.

I'd rather have taller gearing on XC bikes, with a 36T rear biggest cog, I find a 26T small ring way too small with 26" wheels, tolerable with 29er... I can understand on all-mountain and heavier or entry-level bikes though. It should be like their road bikes, they can all be ordered with standard or compact cranksets. I'd stick with the 28/42... or maybe I'll go with XX1 for my next mountain bike.

I don't think there will ever be a 29 scapel Race edition. (look for 26" race model instead)
Personally I think it's too heavy to race (feel like a motorbike after riding a Flash29!! )
Here's the Carbon 1 and Ultimate specs:
