Building a Cannondale Moto 1 carbon from scratch

Hi guys, new kid on the block here, and I mean REALLY NEW as I have never done what I am about to do and I appreciate all you help and patience.
I just bought a complete frame for a Cannondale Moto 1 Carbon (back suspencion included but thats it).
    1. I am thinking of puting Mavik XM 819 tubeless wheels (26 inch)...good idea? I undertsand this bike goes best with rigid tyres. Suggestions?

    2. Thinking of putting the SHIMANO XTR M970 CRANKSET crank 170mm...size ok?

    3. I will be putting the original Fox 36 Talas RC2 suspencion..no questions on that (unless better suggestions welcome!)

    4. I have heard the original brakes on this model are not the best for the model....what brake system would you suggest?

    5. Handlebars?

    6. Gears?

    7. Joplin seat?

    all these questions!!!!

Thanks alot guys, help is very appreciated.

    kind regards

    Eric

Dont overspend, Shimano XT stuff is more than good enough instead of XTR.

    1. How about Stan's ZTR Flow!?
    2. How tall are you. Normal is 175mm
    3. Good choice
    4. Formula The One should match this bike well
    5. Easton Monkeylite or crank Brothers Iodine are my favourites
    6. XT is sufficient, or Saint RD if 1x9 setup
    7. The KS i950-r is a better construction in my opinion.

Not aquainted with this bike, but its intended use and carbon chassis sort of gives expectaions to matching components.

When it comes to tires, you really need to match them to - drumroll - your local trails and riding style.

Ride a Carbon Moto as my shore bike but you planningon using it for? Decents while pedalling up or more XC?

    1. Easton Haven.

    2. Don't bother with XTR (unless you're racing) bash gaurd works well on this bike, or go was something like FSA afterburner 2 x 10.

    3. Great idea. TALAS all the way.

    4. Saints if dh'ing. new xtr's, juicy ultimate.

    5. Cromag - don't go with light carbon bars. it hurts when you break them.

    6. 2 x10 or 1 x 10. New X-9 are sweet

    7. Joplin seat? or KS-i950 is better.
