    Blown headshok

I have the chance to get a decent deal on a Cannondale hardtail with a blown Headshok. It locks out fine but when not locked out, it blows through the travel with any weight on it. Is this a common issue that can be repaired without too many specialty tools? Or would I be better off to just get a headset to adapt to 1 1/8" and put another fork on it?

Depends on the model , a lot of time if it still lock , all it needs is some new o-rings and fresh oil and you are good to go again. Send it to Mendon and he will fix it good for you.

If the lock works , means the oil cartridge is OK.
The problem is the air cartridge.

Have you just tried to add air in the fork ?

I learned something, Headshok's have an air valve. I guess the moral of the story is RTFM. Pumped it up to 90psi and it works fine now.
