    bash guard help?

I have an '04 jekyll 600.It has Truvativ (stock I think) cranks. It's in the shop right now. I asked the guy about a bash guard. He said that I probably have to lose my big gear to run one. Is this true? I looked around on e-bay, and all the ones there seem to have a way lower tooth count. Thanks.

You either have to try and find a big ring protector or get a standard bash ring which will replace the big ring and allot of people just replace the 32 tooth ring with something like a 36 tooth ring. hope that helps.
