Anyone got info/pics of Gemini 1000 Headset?

    Hi All,

    Bought myself a 2003 Gemini 1000.

The previous owner ditched the lefty for a 1 1/8 steerer fork and I am thinking that there are parts missing from the original headset?

All that seems to be left of the standard headset is the sealed bearings top and bottom and the cups that are pressed into the frame.

Can anyone tell me if there are any seals etc that I need to replace to take it back to a 1.5 fork?

And can I use any 1.5 fork with the standard cannondale headset?

Cheers for any help, pics would be great!

No. A 1.5 fork will not fit an SI headset. You need find out what headset you have.

    Can you post a pic?

Thanks for the reply man, I have just fitted a reduction headset from FSA for now so I can run a 1 1/8th fork.

Was just curious though if I went for a 1.5 fork later if I could use the standard Cannondale SI headset?

All I know about the headset is that it came with a lefty fork as standard. But the guy who owned it previously has kept the SI cups and bearings and made up his own top and bottom race adapters to fit 1 1/8th.

    Cheers

No. Headshok/Lefty steerers are 1 9/16" thats why they can only use Cannondale SI headset. A 1.5 fork will require a 1.5 headset.
