    Any way to avoid buying a KT020 when installing a XC3SI stem/steer??

Do I really need a tool to install a steer tube into my lefty? Bringing it to a dealer for install is not an option. Thanks, Steve

Installing it is a snap. It's removing it that made them make a tool for it. I have removed and reinstalled mine several times with no problems. Just use soft hands and a light rubber mallet to tap under the stem when removing it.
