annoying sound on carbon rush
i have a big problem with my carbon rush.
with rear suspension unlocked, from one of the pivots, comes indescribably irritating sound (canary bird like).
when suspension is locked, everything is ok.
even when the bike is washed and clean there is no sound, but already after just a little dust it starts to chirp.
i've tryed to clean and lubricate pivots, but there is no difference.
i'm already desperate!
You say you tried to lube the pivots - did you actually remove the pivot bolt and pivot hardware, clean, lube and replace?
maybe i can try it one more time with some other lube?
Sounds stupid, but I was having th exact same annoying chirping sound coming from my Rush as well whenever I unlocked.
I looked for weeks thinking it was in either a shock or Swingarm pivot.
Turns out it was where the rear derailleur cable goes into the frame near the bottom of the tube just in front of the front derailleur. Lubed it and sound totally dissappeared...
I highly recommend that you at least check it out.
i will try it for sure..
Make sure it's not a slightly warped rotor rubbing one of the rear brake pads...I thought my shock was making a similar sound only when locked, but it turned out to be slight brake rub.
I can barely get my mouth around it.
