    650b wheels on a 2013 Trigger Carbon 1. Possible?

    Hi there,

Im about to pull a trigger to get the Trigger Carbon 1 2013 bike. But im Just wondering if this frame will take front and rear 650b. I dont want to get the 29er because because im pretty damn short 5'6. Please advise.

if possible I would wait for the 650b trigger or scalpel. To my memory they released the trigger mid year, so there is precedent.. and I find it odd they made hardly any changes the the triggers from 2013.. seems like they are trying to keep investment down on those bikes while they work out the 27.5s. but that may just be my wishful thinking.

You are right Trigger 27.5 about March, 2013 will probably not fit the rear wheel.

Say the rear wheel did fit is there anything in particular you need to do, or is it a simple case of putting a 27.5 wheel set on instead. I cant really see how you would need to change anything else?

Also, could you run a normal 27.5 fork off the front instead of the lefty? i can see it changing the geometry so one would have to compensate by running a shorter travel fork.
All a bit to much changing things if you ask me but just hypothetically speaking.

The Supermax and headtubes on Trigger 29ers are unique in that each size has it's own length and corresponding Lefty. In other words, the headtube on the small Trigger 29er will be short and fit smaller riders better.

I am blown away by the Trigger 29er 1 in how well it fits and rides.

Trigger 29er in carbon is the change slated for 2014. But yeah, I think there is a 27.5" version of the bike in the works too, but it will probably be considered a 2015 bike...

Also is it really worth it for a bit of rollover gain?
