New question here. 29er wheel advice needed

Right now, my 2011 Flash Carbon 29er is sporting SunRinglé Equalizer 29er EQ25 rims, with a Cannondale Lefty hub up front and a SRAM X9 hub in the rear (Shimano SLX 10spd cassette), all stock. Without the skewers the rear weighs 1725 g (with the cassette) and the front 1061 g. I want to shave some weight off, and make my bike a sub-10 kg bike (right now it's at 10.280 g), so the wheels would be the logical choice to do that. Besides, my wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and a new wheel set sounds fine .

I'm heavy, weighing 106 kg (233 lb), but I don't do hardcore riding, just asphalt, lots of hard-packed fire roads and some trails, hardily anything radical. With a budget of around $500 to $600, what would be a good option for me? I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the possibilities, so I really can't find a good balance between resistance × low weight × good price .

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated .
    Cheers!

At your weight I'd look at the Stan's Arch or Flow. I've had excellent experience with their wheels:
    Front Wheel
2014 Seven Ti geared bike (in the womb!)
    2012 Seven Ti SS
2012 Seven Steel SS w/rigid fork

I agree with a set of Arch's. These can easily be had for well within your budget and will drop the weight by quite a bit.

I think I'm going with the Arch. I was able to find a set around here and I think it is strong enough and light enough for me .
    Thanks for the considerations!

I've been using Stan's Arches on my 2010 Flash 29er 2 this year, and they are great. Super stiff, and light enough for me while remaining strong (I weigh 204lbs.). I was hesitant to go with the Crests as they have a weight limit of something like 185lbs. I think? I also recommend the Hope II rear hub-- what a treat!
