Are 29'er better for street urband riding. ?

Ok so I mainly ride on streets but have discovered a few close by trails and fire roads.

my 2011 Quick CX-3 with slick 700c tires is not gonna cut it.

But I want to be able to use my MTB for street use some times. A 29'er would be faster more efficient for street use than 26' tires right?

I never thought I would catch the 29'er fever but 700c tires to 29' tire would not be much of a difference would it?

Usually the difference between a 700C tire and a 29er tire is width, since they have the same diameter. Just put some narrower tires on your 29er and rip through streets.

I really don't know why they call it 29ers , if you mesure the rim's diameter , it is very far from 29 inches.

700 wheels shines on asphalt and gravel. Keep your 26er for the dirt !
