Cannondale is offering me these bikes as "Warranty Replacement" of course pay the price difference (how cool is that).
The Black Inc will be available Sept 17,2013 and the Team will be available October 14,2013

A warranty replacement for what lol? I would take the Scalpel Team, but that's purely because I don't like the Batman edition.
and no, I am not missing the other half of my fork....

I CANondale

If you are a racer i would take the Team - XX1, no Reverb, RL for the shock, etc. ..
If not the Black Inc. has much more bandwith with the 2x10 setup ...

replacement for my 2010 Scalpel CFR
I also like the Team Edition (colors) but prefer the 2x10 gearing
They are giving me 30% off the list in exchange for my broken 2010 Scalpel CFR- good deal or not?? (help)
thanks-

Warranty should be free for the same/similar bike. The CFR for the 2014 team I think are comparable.
30% off is the frame exchange pricing IIRC.
Either way, you have a broken bike and Cannondale is offering you an upgrade for some cash. I'd go for Black Inc as I think a dropper post really makes riding a lot more fun.
Also, the Black Inc has the Chris King hub and Enve rims.
Lead by my Lefty............... right down the trail, no brakes.

Yes, they are giving me a 2013 Scalpel CFR (26er) @ no charge but I wanted an upgrade to the 29er so they gave me this option
Unfortunately they still have 26ers @ the Cannondale Facility (lol)

OK, now I see.
I'm all for the Black Inc. The rims and CK hub total $2169 if you got them outside of Cannondle.

Can you mix and match? Black Inc frame (a bit lighter, looks good but that's me), color matched Lefty, wheels and XTR brakes, the rest from the Team.... I don't like dropper posts, I don't like front shifting (should be placed along 26" wheels in museums if you ask me) and I certainly don't like Avid brakes...

That's exactly what I had in mind-"mix and match" - I'll check with the shop if its do-able.
Wow- I didn't realize the Black Inc has dropper post- (not for me)
I also have 2011 Scalpel Ultimate Frame (new/ never built) with XX drive train. I wanted to build it as a spare with a 650b -
The frame and XX drive train may be in the "classifieds soon"
