New question here. 2013 F29 Alloy 2 tubeless?

I just got back into mountain biking after 15 yrs and am so confused by tubeless. Can I just get some stems and pull out the tubes with the stock tires and rims? Both are WTB. I get different answers from different shops. I'm sure someone has done it and can give me a definitive answer. Thanks guys.

    2013 F29 Alloy 2 tubeless?

I have the same bike, and the first thing to go was the cyclocross tires they're trying to pass off as MTB tires on it.
The rims set up really easily. I'm running a Schwalbe Racing Ralph front, Specialized Ground Control rear.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Racing Ralphs and Nobby Nics, but I'd like to try out the stock tires first. When I get new tires, I'll talk to my shop and follow their advice, but I keep getting conflicting answers about the stock tires. Anyone?

Alloy 1 owner here. All you need is stan's and a good TL tire.

You do not need the stan's per se, but I highly recommend it for puncture protection.

Just plonk it on there with a valve stem and pump like a maniac! Do not buy the $65 conversion kit!
