    2012 scalpel 3 ordered

I have just ordered myself a 2012 scalpel 3 and am waiting excitedly for it to arrive, this will be my first cannondale and definitely my first lefty and i have a couple of questions as I've not had new bikes before, what's in the box? I know that may sound silly as obviously "a bike" but what do I need to get before it arrives? I need pedals but what else. Chain stay protector? I want to run tubeless as I do on my other bike and I'm sure it's tubeless ready so will it come with valves and tape etc or do I need to get those ordered so its here ready when the bike arrives? Anything else I'm going to need so I can get out and have fun straight away?

Is it 2012, or 13? I just picked up a '13 on closeout last week.

But yes, pedals, has a chainstay protector with it.

The rims are the inferno 25s and aren't made to be tubeless, although mine came with stans rim strips already installed. From what I have read, the jury is out on tubeless, with the exception of a guy I ran into on Monday with a '12 Scalp 3 running tubeless on the inferno and Racing Ralphs.

    It's this one.

    And states 2012?

I'm looking forward to it with excitement like a kid before Christmas but also worries if I've bought the right bike having never had full suspension or a lefty

    2012 scalpel 3 ordered

Yeah I saw that in another thread somewhere. So 650b wheels fit straight on with no modifications to a 2012 model? I was going to buy a spare set of wheels anyway just in case of a free hub failure or buckled wheel so I guess 650b is the way to go and keep my 26" as spares so any recommendations for UK stocked 650b lefty wheel set?

    Hi

You should do that - 650b wheels, the bike becomes more fantastic than it is already.

yupp, the 650B goes right in with no modifications (Scalpel 2011+). It is the BEST upgrade I had on my Scalpel

They sell em all over here (USA) not sure where to find it in the UK

I just can't wait for it to get here. I ordered on Thursday last week and they said it will take up to 5 days, I just hope it's worth the wait
