2012 Cannondale Scalpel Carbon XX1 chainring fitment

Does anyone know if a 36t xx1 chainring will clear the chain stays?

Some guy on the forum (forgot who did) put a 34T chainring and it's only a hair short from hitting the chain stay so I'd say no. I'm running 30T and 32T without any issue.

Edit: I'm assuming you meant the Carbon 29er.

I'm running a 36t on my medium 26" Scalpel, no issues. 38t would not fit however.

I have a 38T xx1 ring on my large scalpel 29er. I have cannondale hollowgrams, 132mm wide axle. Not a ton of clearance, but enough.

Xl 29 scalpel with hollow gram 132 spindle and 38t. No problems. I am even going to shim it 2mm to the left to make better clearance for my stages power meter.

I have confirmed the 36t fits a Large 2012 Cannondale Scalpel 29er Carbon 2 with some clearance. I will update soon with a picture.

Changing my 2 x 10 to xx1 tomorrow. Any issues with the chain line with hallowgram cranks and factory spacers? Any issues and or tips for this upgrade is greatly appreciated.
