2012 Cannondale Flash 29er Carbon Ultimate....

    Anyone still waiting for theirs?

My race team is sponsored by Cannondale and I ordered a medium back in January. I am still waiting! Supposed to arrive at my LBS in next week or two. A couple of larges have arrived and teammates are picking them up. Medium size and large size have been backordered for a while now.. I think if you order one of these bikes now, you may have to order for 2013. I think they are getting close to being sold out. It amazes me that there is such huge demand for a hard tail race bike that retails for 9k.

I will post pics when my arrives and gets built.

    2012 C-dale catalog is out......

    29er flash ultimate $8000.
Looks like they're lowering the price, or it's a typo.
If it's 8k, then a great deal, considering that you're getting the hi-mod frame w/ XX and enve wheelset/handlebar.

    Weight 19.76 lbs

    Jigger,

I talked to someone at my lbs about how hard it's too get bikes these days, and that person mentioned that certain shops are able to get bikes much faster than others. Basically, shops that pay on time to their bike dealers and/or are able to sell high volume of their brands are going to get preferential treatment.

Taurine 1: I think that's probably true. Certainly, when I ordered my Carbon Flash 29er last year, the first shop I rang called me back after talking to Cannondale and said "Sorry, they've all gone". The second shop said "I know the manager there and he's found one in the warehouse".

enzo269- How in the world do you make this bike lighter? And what size is your bike? 19lbs with tubes or without?

A friend of mine got his 2 weeks ago, after doing the tubeless conversion and swapping saddle and bars came in at 18.3lbs.

Can't wait for mine, due in on 23rd.

Yep! Those were the 3 things I was going to do.. Bike is a medium and I should be able to get it close to 18 pounds.. I had a bet with the guys at my LBS and I think they were pulling my leg with the above weight scale photo . I think the medium comes out of the box at around 18.5 pounds.
