2012 26" scalpel rear shock help

    Hi,

I got a warranty replacement frame this week and need a rear shock. Unfortunately, Cannondale has been no help besides telling me what size of a shock that I need.

I would like to get a Monarch RT3 shock, but first I need to know how it should be factory tuned.

    Thanks,
    James

2012 26" scalpel rear shock help

Usually with the rear you start with your weight and work around that to your specific taste. So I'm 192 pounds, i run it at 192 psi.

I don't mean air pressure. The shocks come factory tuned. Air volume and dampening.

On the Monarchs you will notice letters in colored blocks. This is the ID for the factory tunning.

I went out to our freezing garage to look for ya, but my XX does not have the blocks and neither does my wifes RT3.

I know they DID have the tune colored blocks, but maybe the factory took them off after they were both rebuilt.

    Sorry I couldn't help!

Slight derail, which other options are there apart from the RT3? I often miss having a proper lockout.

Sorry, but your bad once again.

There is absolute none of this info on SRAMs site. They don't even list the available options for factory tuning. I even tried to call, and they didn't have a clue.

I did call Fox. They know exactly what I needed. But they charge an extra $75 to tune the shock, which is already $115 more than the RT3. No thanks.

    Thanks for trying.
